A CLEAN VERSION EDITED FOR CHURCHES AND FAMILIES

This CLEAN version of KADE is perfect for church groups and families to discuss issues of faith, healing, and grace.

from the director

KADE is adapted from a novel by David James Duncan that touches people so deeply that four of my friends have named a child after the character. I will forever be thankful that Mr Duncan gave us the rights to make this short film.

I always felt a real connection to Kade having watched my mom sink under the weight of alcohol and depression and wrestled with how I could both help her and forgive her. Kade's questions about the role of prayer and whether God is really there for him feel very real.

For over a decade, I stitched pieces of the novel into a devotional I read for groups. The discussions were always amazing. Clearly, these characters and their story speak powerfully to many people.

Making KADE is a dream come true and my wish is that our film kindles similar discussions that inspire grace and hope. Our world could certainly use more of both.
